Barnstorming - Atari 2600

Control a plane and try to fly through certain number of barns with it in the Barnstorming game. The number of barns can be set with the SELECT button on your Atari 2600. There are 4 modes to be chosen from - 10 barns, 15 barns, 15 barns with more difficult obstacle setting or 25 barns. To make things a little more difficult, you have to avoid obstacles - windmills. There are no further levels with higher speed or more difficult obstacle setting after you finish the game. It just simply ends and the only thing you can do is to try to finish it again even faster. In case you managed to finish the level under certain amount of time (level 1 faster than 33 seconds, level 2 faster than 51 seconds and level 3 faster than 54 seconds), you could have send a screenshot to the Activision company and become a member of their flight club.

Barnstorming was an exceptional game for the time it was released. It contained a lot of colors and a horizontal screen movement, which was very unusual for Atari 2600. Activision company also used their popular sunset at the background for the first time in the Barnstorming game.
